Meet Sky! I’m a very happy easy going puppy who loves to play. When I’m all done playing I love to cuddle and be held. I’m still working on potty training but keep getting better at it every day! I sleep in my crate through the night as long as a I get good play time in before bed. I am great with young kids (my foster family has a 3 and 6 year old) and only puppy nip a little bit, but I’ll stop if I’m told “no” and given a toy I can chew on! I was raised with my mom and siblings in foster care so I have a great foundation for being a great dog.

I get along with the other dogs in my new foster home, but I do chase the cat. I think I would get along with cats fine, but something to think about for my future family if they have one! I would do well as a only dog too. Since I’m still little I’m eating 3 times a day and need to go outside a lot to help with potty training so no long days in the crate for me please! I will also be in need of training as I get bigger as my main job these days is playing, eating and sleeping!

Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies.

Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a “teen” or adult dog.

Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.

We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details.
