Thunder is a soft, fluffy, playful pup. He may be small, but his personality is Big. He is an extremely social pup that enjoys being around people as well as other dogs. He is an easy going pup that just seems to go with the flow. For example, he has been carted around by little children and just licks their faces and takes it all in stride. All he wants to do is please you.

Don’t let Thunder’s size fool you, he has the energy to keep up with the best of them. Taking walks around the neighborhood and romping in the yard with his human companions are his favorite. He also likes to play with other dogs and will gladly jump in for a round or two of wrestling.

Thunder is working on his manners. He is well behaved on a leash and easy to manage. He is already learning to “come” when he is called. His potty training is coming along, but he will need to be let out frequently since he is still young. Thunder is crate trained and is content to stay in his crate if given something to occupy his time. While he will stay in there at night, he would probably prefer to be near his owners.

Once playtime (or some form of exercise) is over, Thunder is ready to settle down. He will contentedly lie on the couch with you and watch TV. If you aren’t ready, he will follow you around the house patiently waiting for you. He can entertain himself, but likes to keep an eye on his people…always sharp to his surroundings and what everyone is doing.

Thunder is truly one of a kind! Don’t let the dog days of summer pass you by without this loyal partner to share it with!

Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies.

Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a “teen” or adult dog.

Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.

We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email for an application or additional details.
